Presenting digital artworks by active older adults If you have access to a computer, we invite you to try your hand
at an exciting pasttime—making digital art! Suspend your doubts, relax and launch into it.
Except for the printout size and your imagination, there are no limits!

OUR MOTTO: NO SENIOR LEFT BEHIND!
It's Original...and Digital! No Mess! No Cleanup! No Fumes! Just FUN!
Creating digital art is much the same as making conventional artwork. There are still compositional,
color, texture, value
and rendering considerations/decisions that the artist makes, even though the medium
is unconventional.
Creativity is the spice of life.

A Little History:
All the artwork on this site was created by active older
adults at Salinas Adult School over the last eight years.
Every week we learned something new about using computers and software programs, and about creating artwork.
Our regular classes in Digital Art and Collage were discontinued because the State of California, in budget crisis,
cancelled financial support to its Adult School system. Our school chose to eliminate all the senior computer classes as a cost-cutting measure.
Now, we say: No Senior Left Behind! We have formed
the Salinas Valley Digital Art Guild to sustain our friendships and continue to share digital art, photography and software techniques.
We meet monthly for lessons, QandA, field trips and lunch. New members are welcome.
