What Is Digital Art?   | Our Gallery   | How Do We Do It?   | Contact Us
This website is built around a gallery of original artwork rendered using computer software and digital graphics tablets. Creating digital art is much the same as making conventional artwork. There are still compositional, color, texture, value and rendering considerations/decisions that the artist makes, even though the medium is unconventional. All the artwork on this site was created by active older adult students in digital art classes in Salinas, California over the last eight years. Every week we learned something new about using computer and about creating digital artwork. Our regular classes in Digital Art and Collage were discontinued because the State of California cancelled financial support to its Adult School system, forcing our school to discontinue most of its Senior services, including our computer lab classes. Now, we say: No Senior Left Behind! And we have formed the Salinas Valley Digital Art Guild to sustain our friendships and continue to share digital and software techniques, and hopefully exhibit.
Creativity is the spice of life.
This website contains some basic information on using a computer to create original artwork.
